Over time, the silicone gaskets of the Clever dripper can wear out and start to leak. Usually it takes years or hundreds of brew cycles, but if you run your Clever through the dishwasher or use harsh cleaners it can happen a little sooner.

If your dripper has sprung a leak, this kit has everything you need to solve that problem! It includes a silicone stopper and a silicone o-ring. Note, it does not contain the plastic base.

Replace just the part you need and hold the rest in reserve, or replace everything at once to make your Clever dripper like new again. The stopper and o-ring are opaque, white silicone.

These parts are compatible with both the plastic and glass Clever dripper, but they are not color matched to the glass model.

Material Silicone, BPA Free Plastic (Tritan)

To install:

  1. Remove worn base and stopper from your Clever dripper. To remove base and stopper, reach into your dripper and push the stopper ball down through the o-ring until the stopper and base pop out the bottom of the dripper.
  2. Remove the worn o-ring by pulling it out through the top of the dipper. Note the orientation of this o-ring for reassembly.
  3. Insert the new stopper onto the base. The flat side of the stopper is the top and the round side is the bottom. Push the round side down onto the post of the base. Don't use too much force or the post could break. It will pop into place.
  4. Insert the new o-ring into the dripper through the top. Seat it firmly into the dripper.
  5. Push the stopper and base up through the bottom of the dripper, opposite of how you removed it. Make sure the 4 splines on the base line up with the slots on the underside of the dripper It will pop into place when everything is lined up.
  6. Lastly, be sure to reach into the brewer through the top to ensure the o-ring is seated properly. It can come lose when inserting the stopper and base through the bottom.
