Home roasting enthusiasts have used air popcorn machines to roast coffee for almost 50 years now. By itself, the Poppo popcorn popper is a type not normally recommended for coffee roasting. But by inserting the Poppo sleeve into the roast chamber, that all changes!
Poppo can roast more coffee than standard popcorn poppers and do it faster and more evenly. This 1400 watt machine has plenty of power to achieve darker roasts. The included Poppo Coffee Roasting Sleeve is designed specifically for the machine. It redirects the coffee flow to create even roasts at a full range of levels.

Like most roasters, Poppo must cool down between roast batches.
We recomend at least 15 minutes cool time so your roasts are consistent and you don't damage Poppo
How to use Poppo:
- Insert the food grade aluminum sleeve into the popping chamber of the machine.
- Add 110 grams of green coffee (about 1/4 Lb.) and place the clear hood on top.
- Turn it on at the switch and start your timer!
- Medium roast levels take 3 to 4 minutes. Dark roast levels take 5 minutes.
- When the roast is done, turn off the machine, take off the hood, and carefully pour your fresh roast into a colander or pan to cool down. Let Poppo cool 15 minutes before the next batch.
