Product Overview
Full Cupping Notes

Our "Fruit Basket Flavor Set" features 1 lb of four different coffees that display big fruit flavors at the front of the cup. The coffees chosen for this set don't just have fruited accents. Rather, "fruit" is a central theme, and each one showcases unique ways fruit notes are manifested in coffee flavors.

The way coffee is processed from cherry to seed can have a big impact on flavor, and is certainly the case for some of the more fruity coffees we taste. As such, this set will often feature dry process coffees, and the occasional anaerobic fermentation. But don't think wet processed coffees are out of the picture. Kenya, Ethiopia, and even Colombia are consistent sources of some of our fruitier wet process coffee, which we will feature when available.

Our 4 lb Fruit Basket Flavor Set includes 1 lb each of the following coffees:

Burundi Dry Process Nyabiraba Kinama: Fruits are a big part of this dry process profile, thought it's bittersweet and spiced accents you're left to ponder in the finish. Hints of jellied cranberry, mango tea, high % dark chocolate, coriander.

El Salvador Dry Process Finca San Luis: Pulpy fruit notes bring a rustic edge to deep-toned bittersweetness, while low-acidity and thick body heighten the intense flavors. Cherry wine, fermented berry, tanned leather, earthy cacao, lingering finish.

Ethiopia Dry Process Kercha Haruse: On the "light and bright" end of the spectrum for dry process coffees, clean fresh fruits, citron essence, yuzu, and mandarin, lightly floral, fragrant black tea. Makes an excellent pour-over brew.

Kenya Nyeri Gititu AB: A nice mix of tart and sweet in the cup, honeyed flavors with mouth-cleansing brightness that connects to a long finish. Notes of grabby lemon, golden raisin, passionfruit, black tea, Hefeweizen beer.
