Summary
    Full Cupping Notes

Our "Fruit Basket Flavor Set" features 1 lb of four different coffees that display big fruit flavors at the front of the cup. The coffees chosen for this set don't just have fruited accents. Rather, "fruit" is a central theme, and each one showcases unique ways fruit notes are manifested in coffee flavors.

The way coffee is processed from cherry to seed can have a big impact on flavor, and is certainly the case for some of the more fruity coffees we taste. As such, this set will often feature dry process coffees, and the occasional anaerobic fermentation. But don't think wet processed coffees are out of the picture. Kenya, Ethiopia, and even Colombia are consistent sources of some of our fruitier wet process coffee, which we will feature when available.

Our 4 lb Fruit Basket Flavor Set includes 1 lb each of the following coffees:

Burundi Dry Process Colline Kigina: Berry-toned dry process that's quite versatile in the roaster. Notes of blackberry, dried mango, fig, sorghum syrup, blueberry muffin, and chocolate bittersweets that are drawn out in medium roasts.

Ethiopia Uraga Haro: Impressive sweetness and fragrant aroma, rue, lemon basil, aromatic wood, and amber resin. Dark roasts were a surprise hit, bittersweet, jammy flavors, with whole spice. Good for espresso.

Kenya Nyeri Kiamabara AB: Very sweet Kenya, juicy and moderately complex, with citrus notes that are more sweet than bright. Notes of lemonade, orange cream soda, apricot jam, and lovely acidity that doesn't overpower the cup.

Rwanda Dry Process Gitwe: Profiles of dried fruits and berries are core flavors, along with bittersweet intensity that offers a nice counterpoint to some of the wilder aspects. Apricot, fruit leather, cardamom, chicory, chocolate coconut.
