One of the easiest ways to improve the consistency of your coffee roasting and coffee brewing is to use a scale. The Escali Versi Digital Coffee Scale with Timer incorporates everything you need for precision coffee weighing and accurate coffee brewing.
In addition to the 3000 gram capacity and 0.1 gram resolution, the Versi includes 4 pour over brewing modes to help dial in the perfect cup. The easily removable silicone cover makes clean ups from minor spills a breeze and adds an extra layer of protection from the heat of large brewers like Chemexs and French presses. It has a USB rechargeable battery and intuitive touch sensitive buttons that make this scale a pleasure to use daily.
This scale's weighing accuracy and overall high-quality make it practical for espresso use, with one caveat. If you are weighing espresso shots as they are pulling, the scale must fit fully and level on your drip tray to measure accurately. For any scale to function properly, it needs to be on a clean, level, and stable surface. This is not an oversized scale by any means (frankly it's size is just right for all our needs), but it did not fit on nor sit flat on any espresso machine drip trays we have at our warehouse.
