Motor Replacement Kit - Popper
Product Overview
Product Overview
We have run out of spare motors to repair your Popper. We are sourcing more, and will update this page when they are available.
Replacement motors for "Popper is a Coffee Roaster" have arrived. If the motor speed started to fluctuate while you were roasting (but the heat and other functions were ok) then a new fan motor can bring a Popper back from the beyond.
This is a fairly simple process, requiring only a No 1 phillips screwdriver and a small pair of pliers. It does require about 20 minutes, some patience, and the ability not to lose tiny screws (something I find challenging).
Our Coffee Library web page spells out the steps and includes our video walkthrough on motor replacement. In my very basic video, I try to cover all the points though, the small things I have learned (and messed up on) in taking the Popper roaster apart, and reassembling. I also included a totally optional part on re-positioning the thermal cutoff switch, adding to the length here.
The kit includes the new motor, an upgrade on the original, 2 foam strips for vibration isulation for the motor, and an info page linking to the instructions and video. (Right now these are limited to 1 per customer order, but we will maintain this in stock if you ever need another).
