Fruit and cocoa notes shift with roast, as does their level of intensity. The dry fragrance has molasses hints, and at City a scent of honey-granola and dried fruit, like a granola bar. Bittersweet cocoa tones are much more robust at Full City, as are allusions to dark, juice fruits. The wet aroma shows a hefty honey-to-caramel sweetness, that resonates in the steam off the break, with light berry highlights. This coffee carries a big sweetness in the cup, from City roasts to Full City, and probably beyond though we personally did not get into 2nd snap territory. A light brown sugar sweetness dominates City roasts with mild bittering cocoa notes underneath. As it cools, the coffee shows it's fruited side with top notes of grape and apple notes that are juicy, highlighted by mouth refreshing acidity. Full City roasts are delicious, big body accentuating chocolate-syrup flavors, and rivaled by dark berry and red grape flavors. The finish is so sweet, an exchange of cocoa and fruited tones leave a lasting impression in the finish.
