Sette 30 AP Espresso Grinder by Baratza

The Sette series of grinders from Baratza bring some innovative changes to the table. Sette 30 is a great entry-level espresso grinder at a really competitive price. The 30 model has 30 steps of grind adjustment, totally unique burr set, and a direct pathway from burr to receptacle that retains almost no grounds after dosing.

The Sette 30 has really impressed us while we've been testing it out. We found the burr set to be suitable for most drip methods on the coarser settings, and fine enough for espresso preparation. We also like that the grinder ships with a set of shims that you can add to the burr set, allowing you to adjust even finer if necessary.

Baratza's new Sette Series of grinders debut an entirely new grinding technology. 8 years in the making, this new mechanism has the outer burr rotate while the inner burr is fixed. Coffee passes straight through the grinder, vertically, and drops directly into the receptacle, leaving behind minimal grounds on the burrs. This design also makes removing the burr very easy. You can remove the inner burr and swap in a Sette BG burr, giving you a wider range with optimized particle distribution for coarse grinding.
