We get this question pretty often. Most, if not all, of the improvements come from the v2 Induction Module which was redesigned to have a more stable and consistent heat output thanks to various power regulating features. According to Aillio, this translates over to the user experience in the form of higher roast accuracy and repeatability. The new module is also said to be a bit more powerful, offering more headroom on larger batch sizes. From our experience, the people who are typically looking to upgrade are doing so to address a failing\/failed part on their v1 or v1.5 that is no longer being manufactured. Most times, in order to replace the part, an upgrade is pretty much required. \u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eThere are two upgrade paths depending on the hardware you currently have installed on your Bullet. Here is what you will need for each path...\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cul\u003e\r\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003ev1 to v2\u003c\/strong\u003e - You will need the v2 Upgrade Kit and the \u003ca tabindex=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sweetmarias.com\/bullet-r1-ibts-module-set.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"\u003eIBTS Module Set.\u003c\/a\u003e\n\u003c\/li\u003e\r\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003ev1.5 to v2 \u003c\/strong\u003e- You will only need the v2 Upgrade Kit.\u003c\/li\u003e\r\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eIdentifying whether you have a v1 or a v1.5 is pretty simple. If you have an IBTS installed, you have a v1.5. Don't have an IBTS installed? These are used to change out the connectors on Cables A \u0026amp; B you currently have installed on your Bullet. Basically, the idea is if you modify the connectors for the older A \u0026amp; B cables, then you technically don't have to replace the cables entirely.
