Some degree of sediment is desirable; it means more solids are dissolved in the brew, which imparts a more robust mouth feel to the coffee. Too much sediment is bad; to balance this you need an even grind, so a burr grinder is the best choice for French Press brewing.  Extra sediment or not, we feel that French Press offers some real advantages;  it perfectly compliments freshly roasted coffee (because the water and coffee fully mix for the recommended 2-4 minute brew time), and it preserves the oils that might be otherwise filtered out or tainted by a paper filter. This can allow some air leakage and a not-so-airtight seal. You can just pry off the old plunger end and pop a new one on instead of throwing away your entire AeroPress!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSome AeroPress owners notice a sticky residue on the plunger end of their AeroPress coffee makers. This sticky excretion is a combination of coffee oils and mineral oils, and tends to occur when an AeroPress has been sitting unused for an extended period of time (especially if the AeroPress is stored in a warm place). (There are some very insignificant solids found in the bottom of the cup, but nowhere near as much as a French Press, or coffee brewed with Swissgold brand filters).\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eWhat I liked was the increased body in the cup, and in many cases an overall greater coffee intensity. I had to make my grind slightly coarser to work with the steel filter, and had to apply a bit more pressure when plunging the Aeropress. This filter is hassle-free, easy to wipe clean and re-use. Be sure the wash it out before storing so coffee doesn't clog the holes.I am pretty sure you will notice a difference in the cup flavor when you swap the paper Aeropress filters for the stainless steel version. For fun I have also experimented with using a combination of a paper filter and the screen. Full immersion, cold brew, hot\/iced tea, \"espresso-style\" - the Prismo can do it all. We were originally drawn to the Prismo because of its no drip seal - this allows you to achieve a leak-free brew without using the \"inverted method\" of brewing. We've all experienced a messy (and possibly painful) mishap flipping the Aeropress during inversion, so the Prismo is a huge step up in terms of brewing ease and safety. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Prismo generates additional pressure compared to a standalone Aeropress - it won't generate enough pressure to create what we would consider espresso, but we were impressed by the concentrate the Prismo produced. Let's call it espresso adjacent! Amazingly, the 15 oz mug and lid double as a carrying case for the Go and all of its accessories for easy storage. Toss the mug into your backpack or suitcase and you're ready to go - no need to worry about your brewer being crushed in transit. \u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eThe AeroPress Go can brew 8 oz at a time, although you'll need to brew a concentrate and subsequently add hot water. The AeroPress Clear coffee maker is a coffee making system ideal for travel, or for anyone who likes to enjoy a smaller cup. For those who are interested in brewing with the AeroPress Clear but like a larger cup of coffee, one can always brew a concentrate and then add hot water to preferred volume. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere's really only one problem we have with this brewer: the claims made by the manufacturer! This is not an espresso maker, as they claim, nor are other \"made-for-TV\" type exaggerations on the package true. This is a press brewer that makes a smaller volume of coffee, and can easily make very concentrated coffee (but will not be able to generate enough pressure to actually make espresso). Another thing we like is that all parts are BPA free.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe like it to make a quick, small, clean cup. You can also modify the brewing ratio to make a larger volume of brewed coffee: We regularily make 300-500 ml of coffee with the AeroPress Clear.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe AeroPress Clear comes with a pack of 100 filters, filter cap, stirring paddle, and measuring scoop. It's a complete system; no need to buy extras unless you need a carafe or cup to brew into.
