Brewing

We sell a range of brewing equipment, from elegant glass vacuum brewers and the classic Chemex, to more simple filtercones. We don't sell everything on the market; we limit our selection to brewers we really like and those we feel will work for our customers. Proper extraction requires water temperatures of 195-205 degrees. Believe it or not, most electric brewers on the market do not get up to the correct temperature. All of our electric brewers do, which also makes them more expensive then your average Mr. Coffee brewer. If you don't want to invest in an electric brewer or you only want to brew one cup at a time, using a filtercone is the way to go. Since you are boiling your own water you know that you are reaching the optimum water temperature. We also sell kettles, Thermos, cups and cleaning supplies to keep your brewers and carafes clean for an optimal cup of coffee. You can find general brewing tips on the Brewing Fundamentals page and brewer-specific tip sheets and articles in the Library.
