Quick Overview

The Zassenhaus Turkish-Style Mill is a great mill for the road and is in the original nomadic spirit of Arabic coffee; roasted, ground and brewed in one sitting by merchants and traders. In those days, all coffee instruments were compact, folded into saddlebags, and were no less than sacred!

We wanted to stock a Turkish mill, but the quality of 99% of the ones out there are absolute crud. These Zassenhaus mills are regarded by top-notch restaurants and gourmets as "the ultimate pepper mill". It certainly is, because inside the cylinder are chromed tool grade steel Zassenhaus burrs.

The handle and knob are solid cast brass. The sides are solid brass with decorative traditional scroll designs. It holds enough coffee for a 4-6 cup brew. The grind is adjustable for anything for filter drip and finer. It's not cheap but you will have it for a lifetime. Height without handle is 7", diameter is 1.75". Please note that just because it's a "Turkish-Style" mill, doesn't mean that it will grind well for "Turkish" coffee. Although this grinder can give you a consistant grind, it won't create the very fine powder that is necessary for real Turkish coffee.
