Hario V60 filters are No. 2 size to fit the Hario and Bonmac brand drippers we offer.  You can see that these are the V shape filters, unlike Melitta-type that are cone-shaped but are flat at the bottom. If you brew small amounts in a Chemex, these work great too! They give much less "paper taste" in the coffee than the Chemex filters.

I have used these with great success in the Chemex 6 cup and 8 cup models. They are smaller, so you can't fill the Chemex as much, but I suggest that if you use the V60 brew technique (check out our YouTube video) in your Chemex with these filters, you will get better results.

Why? Chemex filters use a lot of paper, and that results in a lot of paper taste in the cup. If you think it doesn't matter, try "brewing" a Chemex pot with no coffee in the filter, and taste the water resulting from it. Paper taste, very strong. You should always rinse out your paper filters to reduce paper taste, and to preheat your brewer and receptacle too.

These smaller, less paper-intensive filters improves the brew in a Chemex markedly. This pointy-tip design is not for use with Melitta type filtercones, Clever Coffee Drippers, Technivorms, etc, that use a cone filter with a flat-bottom.
