  • Taylor Clock and Multi-Timer

With the Taylor Clock Multi-Timer you can time four events simultaneously; so for example, you could have a count-down timer to chime at 5 minutes to adjust the heat setting on your GeneCafe, while another stopwatch timer shows you how much roast time has passed and you can start another on the fly to measure the time between 1st and 2nd crack.

It also has a 12 or 24 hour clock, 99hour 99min 59sec maximum timer duration, a distinctive beep for each timer,  countdown or countup function, 15mm LCD digit display, either self standing or magnetic mounting feature. And each timer will light up a different corner of the timer, so if you have a howling old Hearthware roaster that obscures the loudest timer, you are still covered.

The buttons seem a bit funky honestly; they make a loud clicking noise when you push them.  But fact that the corners light when a timer elapses is actually really handy, it means you can tell which timer has elapsed without the timer being next to you.   This replaces the Salter Clock and Multi-Timer we carried - Taylor purchased Salter some time ago.  One year warranty.

  • Sweet Maria's Stainless Steel Cupping Spoon

Impress everyone ...or make them think you have gone completely over-the-edge! Yes, the process of coffee tasting involves a special spoon, and coffee cuppers get very, very particular about the shape and make of theirs. This spoon has a deep round bowl, moderate size overall, that special curvature of the handle to permit skimming the coffee from the top of the cup.

Stainless steel resists surface scratching, and is much more durable in general. The hand-sketched logo is laser-engraved into the handle along with a cool looking leaf design in the bowl. I think this is an ideal gift for a coffee roasting person ... necessary, no! But enjoyable, yes.

  • Sweet Maria's Logo Scoop

This is the standard sized coffee measure scoop used in all the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) cupping seminars. It's useful for cupping or home brewing, and while it is a little bit larger than others, the size guarantees adequate strength: 1 Level scoop approximates 10 to 11 grams coffee of medium roast coffee (because dark roast takes up more space, a scoop of dark roast might weigh less, as little as 8 to 9 grams).

Use 1 Scoop per 6 oz water (195-203 degrees fahrenheit) in all drip-infusion brewing methods (electric or manual, stovetop or automatic, even espresso!) as well as cupping. And it comes with our Sweet Maria's logo!
