Tambaya is a complex cup, with an array of fruit and tea notes (both herb and black). Citrus notes come through in the cooled cup, Naval orange, pomello, and lime-aid. Apple and berry also come through, and give off an aspect of sparkling lambic. Acidity is bracing all the way through to the finish. City to Full City. SO Espresso. Learn More
Tambaya PB shows a fair amount of fruit at City/City+, with papaya, and plum, and tart hints of pomegranate. The acidity is jammy, well-integrated, with caramel and vanilla. C+ is really where this coffees sweet spot is found, orange marmalade, muscovado sugar, herb tea. Benefits with at least 24 hours rest, but even better at 48. City+ to Full City. Learn More
La Laguna is a nice Nicaragua, not to mention, comes at a time when good Brazils are getting harder to find. Praline nut, caramelizing sugars, soft acidity, and big body - a coffee for drinking (more than 1 cup, that is!)! Versatile in the roaster as well as brew method. Great as a blend base. Clean and crisp, this lot from Buenos Aires is a crowd pleaser in balance and sweetness. Raw sugar, red apple and plum, the brewed coffee is juicy in both flavor and mouthfeel. There is an underlying nuttiness too, that is never overpowering, but adds complexity. Dark roasts have a pleasing cocoa powder/bittersweet chocolate flavor too. City+ to Full City+. SO Espresso.
