Espresso

Espresso

Making good espresso at home is like home roasting; it can be as simple or as complicated as you want to make it. People get really into espresso, probably because it is an intensely caffeinated beverage and there are so many different variables that contribute to making good espresso. We offer stovetop brewers, ibriks, and electric machines for espresso brewing. Tom put together the Espresso Pages as a guide to getting started and troubleshooting your technique.

  • Frothing Pitcher 12 oz -Long Handle

I was looking for a pitcher I would want to use and I found these nice, fairly thick stainless steel ones with long straight handles ...almost like an Ibrik. That will keep your hand away from the heat, always a good idea. The metal on these is 18-10 food grade Stainless Steel. These are actually sold as Turkish Coffee Makers ... that is, Ibriks. I prefer traditional Ibriks but you can use these for both purposes.

  • Multi-Purpose Brew Pitcher - 33oz

This all-purpose pitcher's commercial name is something like "33oz Standard Frothing Pitcher." We think it serves more purposes than frothing 33oz of milk. Who froths that much milk anyway? It serves many purposes and has found a valuable place in our home brewing and roasting arsenals. Tom has included it in his travel kit as well.
