I don't like impossing this rule but we are trying to serve our home-roasting customers by offering bags, and not to become a bag supplier. Our new custom-made burlap bags are a bit
more expensive, but really well made. The burlap is food-grade (well,
that means it is treated with vegetable-based solvent in the manufacturing
process) so it is safe for coffee, etc. The drawstrings are very strong
nylon cord. ** Please note: Do not put in the washing
machine! If you want to wash them, hand wash and line dry.
* Notes:Why all the rules? Well, we try to conserve our logo bags to be sold filled with our coffee. Thats what the logo stands for: our quality coffee! The 5# burlaps are not easy to pack and label on a daily basis, thats why we sell them solo, without coffee in them. They are very nice though! |

People have asked for roasted coffee bags, especially for the gift-giving use. So fire up your Inkjet printer, make some fancy custom labels, slap them on these bags, and make someone's head spin with the taste of good fresh coffee! This is your only chance to justify all that roast smoke you have generated all year long. Please note that we offer bags for home roasters and do not fill orders for bags only, we are not a bag wholesaler... You can save some money and go with the neo-traditionalist look of a Kraft-colored, glassine-lined bag, which good for whole bean or ground coffee... |
...or you can show off a bit with the stand-up pouches. If you are shipping anything, or using these for darker roasts, I strongly suggest the valve bags. Paper ones will, despite the liner, stain with coffee oils. These bags do WONDERS to preserve coffee aromatics! Essentially, they are better coffee storgage than airtight glass since the CO2 from fresh coffee flushes the oxygen out the one way de-gassing valve , and when you open the bag you can squeeze it while resealing and help force the oxygen out. The CO2 will do the rest. Valve bags are not good for storing ground coffee. | ||

New! Coffee Tin With De-Gas Valve
|
Here's a great, re-usable alternative to valve bags that offers the same level of protection for your fresh roasted batch of coffee. It's our new 12 oz. Coffee Tin with De-Gas Valve on the bottom. Light roasts might fit nearly 1 pound whereas darker roasts will squeek by with 12 ounces, so we call it a 12 oz. tin. It seals quite nicely with the white flexibe plastic insert, forcing CO-2 from fresh coffee to exit from the valve on the bottom. CO2 will push out O2 in the process, so if you fill this tin promptly after roasting you should have an oxygen-free environment for your coffee ... well, until you open it. We like this tin because it is plain and ready for you to customize, and reusable. One important detail to note: this tin should not be washed with water! The valve has a paper filament and won't fiunction if it gets wet. Still, you should be able to clean off any residual coffee oils with a dry towel and reuse the tin quite a few times. $4.65 each (+1 1Lb. shipping) Limit 4 At left: this tin is a great presentation for roasted coffee. 4.5" dia x 6" h |
