Printable coffee reviews
We've received a lot of requests for a bare-bones version of coffee reviews that will print well for roast logs and the like.
Since everyone uses the reviews differently, we decided to make a format where you can choose which fields you'd like to print. As you check and uncheck the boxes below,
fields will appear and disappear to preview roughly what the page will look like when printed (use your browser's "print preview" feature for a more accurate preview). Once you've selected the
fields you want, hit the "Print this Review" button to make this header text disappear and print the page. We're planning on adding the ability to
put multiple reviews on a page soon, but hopefully this will get you started.
This is a fairly balanced decaf, and the dry grounds smell sweet
with light brown sugar
, and a bit of milk chocolate. It's hard to deny the bready/decaf smell, but with the aforementioned it's a bit more like sweet wheat bread. Hot water brings up a spiced scent in the steam with a bit of pumpkin spice bread. At Full City, the cup is defined by a refined sugar
sweetness, and a bit of cocoa. This coffee strikes a nice balance
of sweet and bittersweet
flavors, and along with notes of herb tea. The acidity is also tea-like
and sits atop the base profile nicely. It's a nice cup at Full City and beyond, but I wouldn't go too light in the roast level (lighter than City+), as that is where bread and paper notes associated with decaf coffees are most present.

Roast: Full City to Full City+ is recommended; our City+ roast was fine, but we felt just beyond this level offered the most balance.
