One of the real treats for me (since Maria and I essentially live in a warehouse with no windows) was to have this nest right outside my hotel window in Matagalpa. During the course of the event, my little eggs started to hatch as you can see, and by the time I left the nest was full of young hatchlings. I had to be quiet while in my room, and not move around too much to avoid scaring off the mother bird. Yep, I'm a nature-boy at heart.
