We're headed into the weekend with two new coffees that side by side represent the rather wide spectrum of "rustic" sweetness. Sumatra Lintong 17+ Toba Batak is a syrupy sweet cup, with flavors of brown rice syrup, wild berry, and fresh herbs. It's one of the sweeter Lintong coffees we've tasted so far, and a welcome addition to the list as we are waiting on other new arrival Sumatras. Yemen Mokha Sharasi showcases earthy chocolate tones, rustic sugars, and flavors of roasted nut. It's a syrupy bodied coffee, and a fine example of naturally processed coffee from Yemen.

We have so many great Costa Rica coffees right now, it would be a shame not to roast as many of them as we can before they sell out.
This Tuesday we will be roasting Costa Rica Helsar - Magdalena Vega. This coffee shines at a City+, so you can expect that it will be developed a little past first crack. The cup possesses the archetype of Costa Rica coffee character in nut-to-chocolate roast tastes and restrained sweetness of caramelized sugars that balance it out.
We will also be roasting Tanzania Bergfrieden AB which has yet to be offered on our coffee offerings page! This coffee brings forth golden raisin and apple. It's sweet to say the least, and has a deep raw sugar flavor from start to finish at a City+ roast.

We have a lot more Ethiopia coffee hitting the list very soon...like next week. We want to make sure our customers know that there are some really fantastic lots of coffee that will be added over the coming weeks. Our current Ethiopia offerings are selling fast and are only the tip of the coffee iceberg.
Pretty exciting stuff. Add to this a container of our first Antigua and Huehuetenango coffees arriving from Guatemala and a mixed container of Kenya lots and we have doubled our inventory. So if you are anything like us, kick back and relax over the holiday weekend and get ready for an exciting, if not hectic, start to the month of June.
Here's what's coming next week...
-A washed Sidama from Aleta Wondo with peach, bergamot and Earl Grey tea notes. It's very elegant and a real stunner.
-A washing station-specific dry process lot from Dumerso that cups with flavors of fresh berries, dark sugar sweetness and juicy citrus notes.
Also...our first Antigua and Huehuetenango coffees will hit the list in 2 weeks.
Ethiopia Deri Kochowa -Kifle Station is an ultra-clean Sidama coffee with florals rivaling 'BIG' sweetness. This one has it all, with complex aromatics and a brightness that really shines.
Ethiopia Sidama Dereje Station is another washing station-specific lot from the Deri Kochowa area, also cupping with clean florals and caramelized sweetness, and both coffees make absolute killer SO espressos.
Ethiopia Dry Process Gr. 1 Yirga Cheffe Aricha, our first dry-process Ethiopia, a coffee that completely surpassed all our expectations (which were admittedly high!). This one's loaded with sweet fruits, layered sugar flavors, strong florals, and citric acidity, and the only coffee this close to scoring 94 points in a while!
We are upgrading our shopping cart this Memorial Day weekend in order to make it easier to use with tablets and mobile devices. Though we are sad to lose that mid-90s quirky feel of the old site, we decided for the sake of functionality it was time to move forward. All of the coffee resources and information are still available, and with the new navigation articles and media will be easier to find. We also like that our new cart offers smarter shopping functions for filtering as well as comparing products and coffees. Since quite a few of you have asked us, we are also happy to announce that we will now be accepting PayPal as a payment option. Some of the pages, including the homepage, coffee shopping filters, and extended reviews are a work in progress and we will continue to improve. We hope that you like shopping and browsing the new site! As always we welcome your questions and feedback.
Here's a few changes we are pretty exicted about:
-The new menu bar at the top of the screen will give you access to any bit of information, coffee or product on our site.
