A potent, pungent blend for espresso beverages. It's ideal for milk drinks, as this intense bittersweet cuts through the steamed milk. Rustic sweetness, spice, savory notes, long aftertaste. Monsooned coffee and a small percentage of Robusta add crema and body. Vienna roast.

Equal parts caramel and cocoa, that make for a delicious flavor combination. Fruits like fresh peach, plum, and apricot make appearances in the cooling cup. There's also a note of saturated black tea that brings a nice tannic quality to the acidity. This coffee is very versatile and will do best when giving the starch content a chance to develop into sugars. City+ to Full City.

The cup has layered chocolate roast taste, moderate brightness, and juicy body. Cocoa powder and dark chocolate are prime characteristics and are accented by pulpy fruits and even strawberry. The finish has a slight dryness and bittersweet quality, reminiscent of Bakers Chocolate. City+ roasts brings out fruited notes of dark berry and dried papaya. Darker roasts are great as SO epresso or in blends. City+ to Full City+.

A note of black tea sits atop a fruited profile of apple, pear, and ripe peach. Taking the roast toward Full City will bring about flavors of green grape and blackberry, as well as a sweetness of chocolate milk. The finish is like fine cocoa with a layer of toasted nut underneath. This coffee also makes an absolutely amazing SO espresso. City+ to Full City.

It's elegant in terms of the acidity and the way it plays off of the mouth feel. A mandarin note is first apparent - effervescent and crisp - followed by red currant. As the cup cools a distinct baker's chocolate flavor lingers in the finish before a ripe blackberry note appears. This is a versatile coffee that makes a crowd pleasing cup as well as a great SO espresso, especially at more developed roast levels. City+ to Full City+.

Bolivia Sultana Coffee Cherry Tea

This Bolivian Sultana is vastly superior to any Cascara we've ever tasted from El Salvador. There is clearly a relation here between Flor de Jamaica tea and Sultana. As the coffee cools a clear, refreshing rooibus tea character develops. At 5 minutes steep time we find an intense golden raisin and tamarind flavor in the cup which makes lots sense all things considered. Rose petal and hibiscus come screaming out of the cup as it cools. At 10 minutes steep time the sweetness intensifies along with an herbal character. The nuance and subtlety of the hibiscus and dried floral notes begin to dissipate.

Blackberry and fresh cream lept out in the break after an intense dark sugar sweetness wafting the crust before it. It was so sweet it reminded me of blackberry syrup. The malic juiciness and brown sugar sweetness did really well at the City level. Although still pleasant Puno Lot #86 turns almost unilaterally into bittersweet cacao at the City + level. The finish on all of the Puno lots have been reminiscent of creamy hot chocolate and this coffee is no exception. City to City+.

Ethiopia Dry-Process Yirga Cheffe Konga

Bing cherry, dried apricot, strawberry, and mango are found in lighter roasts, whereas the fruits in dark roasts are situated around a base of chocolate. The sweetness is slightly confectionary, which, along with dried tropical and berry fruits, has a fruit-roll-up appeal. Fruits turn to chai spice in the finish along with a dusting of bittersweet cocoa. This coffee has a thick, milky body, and works great in espresso; even as straight unblended shots if you like a rustic sweetness. City+ to Full City+.

This cup is fruit-forward from the get go. Notes of strawberry, huckleberry, and raspberry come through, along with raw honey and a burned caramel finish. Cool, the flavors shift toward concord grape and sweet citrus, along with a tropical note of pineapple juice. There's also an element of floral hops, that along with the fruits, tastes of an IPA. Interesting SO espresso. City+ to Full City+.

Juicy, with notes of black cherry, grape, and stone fruit. Tart acidity like huckleberries, or even coffee cherry skin. Dark roasts have a waxy chocolate mouthfeel, and with notes of fig, Monnuka raisin, and tamarind. This coffee finishes sweet, and with a weighty mouthfeel. Great SO espresso. City to Full City roast.
