| Coffee Shells, Coffee Husks - the skins of coffee fruit. Qishr is the tea beverage made from an infusion of coffee husks and water. Yes, these are the dried skins of the coffee fruit, and by infusing them with hot water, much as you would with a loose-mix herbal tea, you can make a very interesting beverage. Use standard coffee measurements for brewing: an SCAA 11 gram scoop per 5 oz. of water works great. You can make it quite easily in a French Press, and actually I make it directly in a mug, since the skins eventually sink to the bottom.
